I’m extremely honored to learn that, after carefully considering each candidate, I have received the endorsement of the Warren County Independence Party as their candidate for sheriff of Warren County.
When I recently met with Independence Party leaders, I explained my vision for how we should continue to enhance the professional level of public safety that Warren County residents have come to expect in recent years. I described the challenges that law enforcement agencies face in light of today’s ever growing threats to public safety.
Specifically, I explained my intention to expand the “community approach” to the opioid crisis through education and mental health treatment, to enhance the department’s training initiatives in light of the political movement to legalize marijuana, and to further develop and implement special programs for the protection of our senior citizens from scams and frauds.
To address the safety concerns faced by those on the other end of the age spectrum, I outlined my desire to build on the success of our department’s School Resource Officer program – with the ultimate goal of facilitating an SRO in every Warren County school district which desires the program.
I am thrilled to learn that the Independence Party of Warren County shares my vision for Public Safety and I gratefully accept their endorsement for the office of the Sheriff.
